Kids Fire Safety:
Kids Fire Saftey:
As representatives of The Hartford, we actively participate in The Hartford’s Junior Fire Marshal Program. This program was started in 1947 to help teach children the basics of personal fire safety. It teaches children lifesaving lessons such as Stop, Drop, and Roll, Go Low in Smoke and Draw a Home Fire Escape Plan.

Did you know?
• Someone is fatally injured in a home fire every 170 minutes.
• Children playing with fire have started more than 40,000 home fires.
• Only about 25% of American families have developed and practiced a home fire-escape plan. (Source: National Fire Protection Association)
At Front Range Insurance, we visit with local elementary schools to bring The Hartford’s life-saving lessons to the children. We distribute educational materials, The Hartford’s classic Junior Fire Marshal fire hats, and magnets to post emergency contact information on. We also distribute this information to the community at local events such as Oktoberfest and other street fairs.
If you are interested in having us present at your child’s school or if you would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us. The Hartford’s program is written by early childhood specialists and intended for use with students in grades K-3. We would also be happy to share The Hartford’s Fire Safety Kit with any parents who are interested!
